It´s time to share some BEFORE & AFTER photos of the kitchen in our new house that we are renovating. It has been a long process, but we are very happy with how it has turned out.
We wanted a kitchen that would match the rest of the house, and after a lot of research ended up buying JKE Design´s RIVA black oak with no handles . I think black kitchens look stunning, and since we have a lot of windows and kept the rest of the surfaces light, a black kitchen works well.
To add warmth to the black and white we chose pine wood flooring, in the same white finish as we have in the living room. Probably not the most practical choice, but sometimes aesthetic has to go before practical, right?
The walls are painted in the same color as in the living room, LADY Pure Color 1624 Letthet. The windows got the same color, using LADY Supreme Finish, Silkematt.
As for the ceiling we removed the wooden panels, plastered the ceiling and painted it with LADY Tak. We also bought a Siemens ceiling-mounted island chimney hood so we can enjoy our city view while cooking.
